There was a really interesting article on the Globe and Mail on Tuesday about how some are using Twitter to tell others where RIDE spot checks are. You can read the article here.
On one side, those doing it are arguing that they are providing a service to others to help traffic flow and avoid delays. On the other, there is a possibility that a drunk driver will see the message and avoid getting caught only to have something drastic occur.
In this day and age, the question of ethical social media usage is becoming increasingly prominent within our society. So I pose the question, is it ethical to tell others about speed traps, RIDE locations and other police related activities?
