The first one is tough for me. I love Nine Inch Nails but the Johnny Cash version of Hurt was phenomenal.
This one is a interesting challenge. Montley Crue the personification of sex, drugs and rock & roll versus the wholesome Carrie Underwood. Who takes this one home; the bad boys or the good girl?
Finally, a three way generational battle. Bob Dylan vs. Guns and Roses vs. Avril Lavigne. All three produced very different versions of the song. Which generation produced the best?

1. Hurt: Nine Inch Nails > or = Johnny Cash
ReplyDelete2. Sweet Home: Motley Crue = Carrie Underwood
3. Knocking On Heavan's Door: Bob Dylan = or < Avril Lavigne < Guns N Roses
Johnny Cash is phenomenal, I totally agree. The next.. WOW What a comparison! Actually there is none because I think Carrie U. really carried it away! Knocking on Heaven's door is a big favorite of mine. Dylan did a great version, but Guns & Roses really carried it away. April L... well, I never heard this version, but at least I can understand the words, and she did it for a good cause. Kudos to her. Great job my friend! You certainly ROCK! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFun way to go about this. Here is my picks:
ReplyDelete1. Johnny Cash version
2. Carrie Underwood version
3. Guns and Roses
What do I win? LOL
Thanks for playing along this week.

I really liked the originals better, too, but they were all good.
ReplyDeleteNope - I'm going with NIN! I had no idea that was Johnny Cash's song. Now that you put together for me I'm a little blown away.
ReplyDeleteMotley Crue hands down. lol
The last one I have to give it to Guns and Roses.

For the first one I'm going for Johnny Cash
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Motley crue for the other
And Guns and Roses.
